Supporting the Next Generation of HR Talent
At Peoplecorp, we’re passionate about supporting the next generation of HR talent by creating opportunities for students to gain meaningful, practical experience in the field.
Since 2014, we’ve partnered with universities across New South Wales to develop and manage an innovative pro bono HR Internship Scheme. Designed for students studying HR, Psychology, or business-related degrees, the program aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application.
While university study provides a strong theoretical foundation, we recognise that hands-on experience is essential in shaping well-rounded HR professionals. Our HR Intern program supports students in building confidence and capability and enables businesses to contribute to the development of future talent within the HR community.
Recently, we had the pleasure of partnering with the UNSW Psychology Society to deliver an Early Careers Crash Course for students interested in pursuing a career in HR. The session brought together a highly engaged group of students who were eager to build their confidence, develop practical job search skills, understand how best to partner with recruitment agencies and gain a clearer understanding of the HR landscape.
A highlight of the evening was hearing from Julie Kha MAHRI, who shared her career journey from HR intern through to HR Business Partner. Her insights provided a relatable and inspiring perspective on how to navigate the early stages of a HR career and reinforced the value of gaining hands-on experience early on.
Following the session, we connected with several motivated and capable students who are actively seeking a HR internship.
