THE ORGANISATION
This mid-sized organisation is a well-established leader in their field, serving the communities in which they operate. Purpose driven service provision underpins the organisation. An accredited NDIS service provider, this organisation is commercial in nature, with a healthy balance sheet and a proven track record of success and delivery. They offer a range of diverse services to the community on both a local, regional and national basis.
THE ROLE
The People & Culture function is a key business partner, and the role sits as part of the leadership team. This role is pivotal to the success of the wider People and Culture team as the business continues to grow and evolve.
You will report to the Group CPO with a dotted line to a divisional CEO. Servicing this business across the full range of core HR Business partnering services (300 FTE). The wider group operates a centre of excellence model, and you will have access to these resources as part of your role. In addition, you will manage a well-established HR Business Partner.
THE CRITERIA
The brief I am working with is clear, so please bear with me on the must have’s…but please note they are real must haves!
- You must be able to demonstrate experience working as a Senior HR Business Partner / HR Professional within a NDIS accredited organisation. Technical HR competence is a must.
- You must have experience (and the associated knowledge) working with the SCHADS award and know how to effectively manage a modern award workforce. Working knowledge of the Clerks and Nurses Award is advantageous.
- Sector experience will likely include (but not restricted to): Aged care, disability services, health care, community support / community services, appropriate government & appropriate Not for Profit organisations. The organisation/s you have worked for must be an accredited NDIS provider.
You are an independent, task focussed operator (and a team player). Happy to be hands-on (when required) and operate strategically too. High EQ, patience and a natural coaching style will serve you well, along with a succinct & direct communication style. Strong with data sets/analysis and excel (advanced).

As a guide, at least ten years plus works well. And finally…you may have started your career in industrial relations / employee relations and be keen on broadening your scope of responsibility.
WHAT’S ON OFFER
A hybrid work model @ 50% of the working fortnight in the Sydney CBD office (this may vary on an ad-hoc basis according to the business needs and cycles). Cash compensation is in line with market (and role title/experience indicated).
