Is this the future of recruitment campaigns?

With competition for top talent at an all-time high, more and more advertising is being directed towards potential employees.

This month SodaStream International released their recruitment campaign “Join the Revolution” aimed at attracting extraordinary talent from around the globe to fill positions across 45 countries. Available on its Facebook page and a microsite for the recruitment campaign, the humorous video highlights the company’s DNA and values throughout a series of comical exchanges between SodaStream CEO Daniel Birnbaum, Game of Thrones Star Thor Bjornsson aka ‘The Mountain’ and SodaStream employees.

But what is the verdict on this campaign?  According to Ben Da Costa, Head of Creative at We Are Unity 

“This is employer branding at its best. A great example of a business taking their core brand DNA attributes and using it to create a compelling message. It’s a great set-up of the exchange – what you’ll need to bring, and what you’ll get. Passion, fun, smarts – it all comes through in this execution. For many this will be the first Employee Experience touchpoint, creating a solid foundation to attracting high calibre talent, driving the Sodastream culture, building the brand from within and ultimately improving the Customer Experience”.

It’s certainly taking your average talent attraction campaign to a new level and love it or hate it, there is no doubt it’s garnered international attention for the business!
